Merry Christmas from Britney and Ellen

Britney Spears and Ellen DeGeneres spread holiday cheer. It’s super cute!!! Happy Holidays, y’all.

Britney Spears ‘Circus’ Video

Here’s the video for Britney’s latest single, ‘Circus’.  I didn’t like this song at first, like most Britney songs, but it’s totally grown on me.  The video is hot.  Not nearly as hot as ‘Womanizer’ though.  And, is it just me or does anyone else think there’s something wrong with her hairline?  It’s just a little too far back.  Enjoy!

Britney: For the Record – My Review

britney_281x211

I don’t know about you guys, but I was pretty excited about the Britney documentary, Britney: For the Record, on MTV last night.  It’s not that I expected any revolutionary information to come out of it, but it was nice to hear “her” take on the whole Britney’s-a-crazy-b!tch situation of 2008.  I was going to live blog it but I stupidly left my laptop charger at my mom’s house.  Instead, I snuggled up to a bowl of hot and sour soup after partaking of a bowl of a different variety and wrote my thoughts down on a napkin.  Here are my napkin notes on the “film”:

  • Very interesting to see Papa Spears in action.  He’s sort of been the silent party in her whole career.  I like his style.  He’s obviously over the whole “my daughter is a star” thing and more into the whole “my crazy daughter isn’t acting that crazy anymore” thing.
  • Reason #257 that I love Britney Spears: Velveeta Cheese
  • Reason # 258 that I love Britney Spears: Grits (I too have grits and processed cheese product in my fridge!)
  • I love Andre!  Where has she been hiding him?  He’s all sorts of fantastic.  Why didn’t she hang out with him when she went crazy?
  • That dude from The Heights that she had dinner with is all sorts of fine.  It was kinda sad that she had to ask permission from her handler to ask him out.
  • Did anyone notice that Britney’s dance stand-in is a gay Asian male?
  • Eww!  Madonna!  What the F happened to her face?  I knew she had work done but I’ve only ever seen it in pictures.  It’s a whole different experience on a large screen HDTV.  She looks like a dinosaur.
  • Why am I so tired?  Oh, wait, it’s cause Madonna is still talking.  Oh!  Now, I’ve officially tuned out.

Yeah, so those were my first thoughts.  Overall, the “film” was no Schindler’s List, but it was really nice to see some semblance of the old, pre-crazy Britney.  It’s also good to see that the people around her seem to really love her and care about her well being.  Viva la comeback…oh wait, didn’t she say she didn’t like that term?

What did you guys think?

Britney Spears Performs “Womanizer”

The “new” Britney Spears did her first live performance of “Womanizer” yesterday on the Bambi Awards Show 2008 in Germany.  Overall, she did a good job.  She’s not yet back to her former performance standard or quality, but you can deffo see that she is well on the way.  In the video, below, you can see that she’s still a little nervous and some of her dance moves are still a bit wooden.  The circus theme of the performance is hot and I think it bodes well for the future.  I think she’s going to work the kinks out with these European performance so that her first live US performance will help make up for her “Gimme More” VMA performance.

I. Can’t. Wait.

Daily Celeb Round Up

Ashlee Simpson is still pregnant.  I feel like she’s been preggers for an eternity.  Anyway, Jessica told Ellen that Ashlee might have to induce labor because the baby is not budging.  Would you be in such a rush to join the world if you knew your parents shared were Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz?  Or, that your grandpa was Joe Simpson?

Today’s daily dose of Britney comes from a course close to Madonna.  According to AbsoluteNow.com “Britney asked Madonna if she will ever marry again after her split from Guy. Madonna not only said she wouldn’t but told Britney to forget about marriage. She said it just doesn’t work for girls like them.  Madonna clearly sees a lot of herself in Britney because she seems very eager to help her.” I have one thing to say to Madonna – BUTT THE F OUT.  Her presence really doesn’t do anything for Brit and, dare I ask, what does Madonna know about relationships?  Seems all of hers always fail.  That’s like someone asking me how to get a guy to treat them like a lady.  I don’t know how to do it so I butt the F out when people ask.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, and Jeff Marx, co-creator of Avenue Q, are writing a Broadway musical called Mormon Musical.  Genius.  I hope they are putting more effort into this than the new season of South Park, which in my opinion kinda blows these days.

Wanda Sykes came out of the closet at the Las Vegas Prop 8 rally this weekend.  She got married to her wife on October 25th.  Congrats Wanda!

Kelly Osbourne is engaged to her model boyfriend, Luke Worall.  Word spread after her fiancé changed his status on facebook to “engaged to Kelly Osbourne”.  Oh, facebook.  It really is an added challenge to the dating game.  Like, when you hook up with a guy and he friends you.  Are you supposed to reach out to him?  Wait for him to reach out to you?  Does getting added as a friend even mean anything?  And, what if he does reach out to you but it’s a wall post vs. an email?  So confusing.

Tyra Banks is going to give Isis King, the transgendered woman from this season’s ANTM, the sexual reassignment surgery that she can’t afford.  This is actually super nice and warm my cold, black heart just a little.  Of course, the gift is going to be wrapped up in a Tyra episode on the topic.
